Classic Heritage Training Team

At Classic Heritage Golden Retrievers, we believe that our team is the heart and soul of everything we do. Behind every healthy, happy puppy is a group of dedicated people who pour their time, effort, and love into making sure each dog is given the best possible start in life and then prepared for their life with their new family. From daily care and socialization to health checks and one-on-one bonding, our team goes above and beyond to make sure every puppy grows up confident, loved, and ready to join their forever family.

Each of our team members brings something special to the table—different strengths, experiences, and passions that come together to create a truly caring environment. Some of us focus on training and early development, others specialize in health and nutrition, but all of us simply have a natural gift for helping each puppy feel safe and loved. Together, we share a common goal: raising Golden Retrievers who embody the loyal, gentle, and joyful spirit the breed is known for.

We’re proud to highlight the people who make Classic Heritage what it is today. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine love for these dogs shine through in everything they do. This page is our way of saying thank you—to the team members who work tirelessly behind the scenes and who treat every puppy like their own. Without them, none of this would be possible.

Getting to Know Delina

Director of puppy development & behavior

Delina Cereghini has been part of the Classic Heritage family for several years, bringing with her an impressive background and lifelong passion for dogs. From a young age, she dreamed of a career surrounded by animals. That dream began early—volunteering at her local veterinary clinic for six years. Her dedication to animal health led her to work as a veterinary assistant from 2007 to 2012 while studying biology at the University of Toledo. Her curiosity to understand dogs “from the inside out” inspired her to attend the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers, where she earned a Master Dog Trainer degree through the Ohio Board of Colleges. Her advanced education covers a wide range of expertise including basic and off-leash obedience, behavior modification, agility, scent detection, personal protection, tracking, and service dog training. Delina has since expanded her knowledge through ongoing professional development—attending seminars with renowned trainers such as Michael Ellis and the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy, as well as courses on aggression, resource guarding, impulse control, puppy development, and e-collar conditioning. She is certified in Canine CPR and First Aid, serves as an AKC Judge and Evaluator, and has been a proud member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) since 2012.

Before joining Classic Heritage, Delina owned and operated her own professional training business for ten years, specializing in puppy development, advanced off-leash obedience, behavior rehabilitation, and fully trained service dogs. Over time, she realized her greatest passion was helping dogs from the very start—preventing behavioral issues before they begin. That mission brought her to Classic Heritage, where she now channels her expertise into nurturing balanced, confident, and happy puppies that go on to thrive in family homes and service roles alike.

When she’s not surrounded by the adorable “fluffballs” at work, Delina enjoys hiking, crafting, crocheting, and spending quality time with her daughter and their joyful menagerie—her Pomeranian, Peaches; guinea pigs, Peanut and Pickle; three frogs; several fish and shrimp; and their Silkie chicken, Stacy.
