From Puppy to Companion: Training & Pricing

A Clear Path to a Calm, Confident, Family-Ready Golden Retriever

Bring Home a Puppy That’s Already Set Up for Success

At Classic Heritage, we believe bringing home a puppy should feel exciting — not overwhelming.

That’s why our puppies don’t just come home…
they come prepared.

Through early development, structured training, and thoughtful matching, we raise puppies who are confident, responsive, and ready to thrive in your home from day one.

Why Our Program Is Different

Most puppies go home at 8 weeks with little to no preparation.

Ours don’t.

From as early as 3 days old, your puppy is intentionally developed through:

  • Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)

  • Early Scent Introduction (ESI)

  • Daily handling and confidence-building (“Snuggilization”)

  • Structured socialization and environmental exposure

  • Professional training beginning early in development

From 5 weeks onward, puppies receive multiple training sessions daily, seven days a week.

By the time your puppy comes home, they already understand:

  • How to learn and respond

  • How to settle in a home

  • How to engage with people

🧠 The PRISM Behavioral Mapping System

Understanding Your Puppy—Before They Come Home

At Classic Heritage, every puppy is thoughtfully evaluated using the PRISM Behavioral Mapping System, developed by Lisa White, founder of PRISM Dog Academy, and implemented in partnership with our professional training team.

PRISM stands for:
Puppy Resilience and Instinctive Social Mapping

What Makes PRISM Different?

Many families are familiar with traditional aptitude tests, such as Volhard. While those provide helpful insight, they focus primarily on a puppy’s reaction in a single moment.

PRISM goes deeper.

Rather than capturing a snapshot, PRISM evaluates:

  • Patterns of behavior over time

  • Emotional resilience and recovery

  • Social engagement with people and environments

  • Confidence and adaptability

This allows us to understand not just how a puppy reacts—but how they process, adjust, and grow.

A More Complete Picture

In addition to the structured PRISM evaluation (conducted between 7–8 weeks of age), we incorporate our team’s daily, hands-on observations, including:

  • Interaction style with people and other animals

  • Confidence in new environments

  • Sensitivity and responsiveness

  • Ability to settle and self-regulate

This combination creates a well-rounded temperament profile for every puppy in our program.

Why This Matters for Your Family

This deeper level of understanding allows us to:

  • Thoughtfully match each puppy to the right family and lifestyle

  • Identify puppies with strong potential for therapy or service work

  • Guide families toward the personality and energy level that fits them best

  • Set both puppy and family up for long-term success

More Than a Test—A Guided Matchmaking Process

PRISM is not about labeling puppies—it’s about understanding them.

Every puppy is unique. Some are naturally more outgoing and playful, while others are more observant, gentle, or steady. Neither is “better”—they are simply different, and those differences matter when choosing the right home.

Our role is to help interpret those traits and guide you toward a puppy who will:

  • Feel natural in your environment

  • Connect easily with your family

  • Grow into a confident, secure companion

The Result

When you combine:

  • Early neurological development

  • Structured training

  • Daily professional observation

  • And PRISM behavioral mapping

You get more than just a puppy.

You get a thoughtfully matched companion who is already understood, supported, and set up to thrive.

💛 Our goal is simple: to place each puppy where they feel secure, confident, and deeply

connected—so they grow into happy, well-adjusted members of your family.

From this, we create a personality profile for every puppy.

This allows us to guide you toward the right puppy

for your lifestyle and goals — not just any available puppy.
