This handsome boy from Honey and Oliver is already showing all the wonderful qualities we love to see at this early stage. With a sweet nature and a calm, observant presence, he’s a lovely puppy who is beginning to reveal a balanced and affectionate temperament. We’re enjoying watching him grow and develop each day, and he continues to impress us with his gentle spirit and natural connection to people.

More detailed updates on his personality, structure, and development will be coming soon as we spend more time getting to know him.

If Oakley were the main character in a story, he would be the handsome young gentleman with a spark in his step—the one who walks into a new scene with confidence, looks around with bright curiosity, and quickly decides he belongs there.

Oakley has a wonderfully balanced way about him. He is social and engaging, happy to be part of what is going on, yet not overly needy or clingy. He enjoys connection, likes to be included, and carries himself with a steady confidence that makes him an easy puppy to enjoy. New places and new experiences do not trouble him—he takes them in, adjusts quickly, and carries on with that cheerful, capable spirit of his.

He is also a very smart boy, and that is already becoming clear in his training. Oakley picks things up quickly and shows that he likes having a job to do. At the beginning of a session, he may take a moment to gather himself, but once he settles in and understands what is being asked, he becomes beautifully engaged and focused. He works well, learns quickly, and responds especially well when the expectations are clear and consistent.

Like many bright young puppies, Oakley is still learning the art of patience. Right now, if he is bored, under-engaged, or feeling especially excited, he may let you know with a little extra enthusiasm—perhaps a bark, a bounce, or a determined effort to find his own entertainment. But the lovely thing about Oakley is that he is already showing how quickly he can learn from structure. When those behaviors are not rewarded and he is gently guided back to calm, he begins to let them go, often doing much better by the end of a session than he did at the beginning.

That is one of the most promising things about him: he learns quickly, and he is already developing the kind of self-control and understanding that will continue to improve with maturity and consistency. As he grows, not only will he become more polished and fully engaged, but he will look incredibly handsome doing it.

Oakley’s story is shaping up to be one of confidence, capability, and charm. He is an energetic, steady, fun-loving puppy who is easy to work with and rewarding to know. With just a bit of structure and continued guidance, he is well on his way to becoming a truly lovely companion—one of those dogs who can fit beautifully into many kinds of homes while bringing both heart and personality wherever he goes.
